  • What are credit criteria?

The information considered by a potential lender in deciding whether or not to extend credit to a potential borrower, typically expressed in the form of a credit score. A credit card issuer would typically consider the following five factors of a potential borrower's credit behavior: payment history, credit utilization, average age of credit accounts, how many credit inquiries have been made recently, and credit mix.
