What is a Statement?

A written summary of credit card activity for a billing cycle that shows every processed transaction for that cycle, the outstanding balance, any interest charges or fees, the minimum payment amount due, and other important information. A statement may be a hard copy or electronic and is typically issued monthly, unless there is no activity on the account to report.
