Credit One Bank, a pillar in the Las Vegas community, partnered with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada to surprise 10-year-old Elena and her family with tickets to the Vegas Golden Knights final home game of the regular season.

Elena was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last year and has inspired those around her with her continued strength, bravery and unwavering positivity. As an avid Golden Knights fan, Elena and her family arrived at the game via a limo.  Elena then participated in the game day parade through the plaza to T-Mobile Arena where she watched and cheered on her favorite team from glass seats.  She was featured on the jumbotron, got to ride the Zamboni during the game and had the opportunity to hang out and dance with the Knight’s mascot, Chance.

“I am incredibly grateful to be with Credit One Bank, who recognizes the importance of highlighting organizations such as Candlelighters, and that we have the opportunity to give back to families in our communities that deserve a night off from cancer,” said Meghin Delaney, Assistant Vice President of Public Relations, Credit One Bank. “We are here to celebrate Elena and her immense courage and are grateful to be in a position to give this very special fan a night that she and her family will never forget.”

Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada has been helping families impacted by cancer in Nevada since 1978. Since then, Candlelighters has assisted thousands of families throughout Nevada including emotional support, quality of life and financial assistance.
