Earlier today, Credit One Bank, in conjunction with the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, presented checks totaling more than $37,000 to Family Promise of Las Vegas and The Shade Tree as part of an ongoing commitment to give back to the community.

The check presentations took place in front of the “Go Knights Go!” building wrap prominently displayed on the Credit One Bank Headquarters which can be seen from Buffalo and I-215 south. Credit One Bank employees were suited up in their Golden Knights gear to celebrate the historic season and share their excitement going into next week’s Stanley Cup Finals. Special guests to the presentation and mini pep rally included Chance, mascot for Vegas Golden Knights, and Bark-Andre Furry, four-legged Vegas Golden Knights Fan.

“The buzz in this city surrounding the Knights is incredible and our employees at Credit One Bank feel it as well,” said Amy Chasey, assistant vice president of public relations at Credit One Bank. “We want our employees to be proud to work for a company who supports the community in so many ways, through our partnership with the Vegas Golden Knights, as well as our philanthropic efforts with local charities.”

Half of the funds donated to Family Promise of Las Vegas and The Shade Tree, both local nonprofits dedicated to providing housing and emergency services to families, women, and children, were raised at silent auctions during two Vegas Golden Knights games. The other half of the donation was matched by Credit One Bank.

About Shade Tree

Since 1989, The Shade Tree has been Southern Nevada’s only 24-hour accessible emergency shelter for women and children who are victims of homelessness, human trafficking, domestic violence and/or abuse. On average, The Shade Tree provides assistance to nearly 15 new families each day offering over 5,000 women and children 100,000 nights of shelter and over 165,000 meals annually. The Shade Tree facility offers its residents’ areas such as sleeping rooms, libraries, training rooms, children's playrooms, meals, laundry services and access to the Stallman Touro Medical Clinic.
